For visiting boats
The Vlaamse Yachthaven Nieuwpoort (VYN) is the largest marina in Nieuwpoort, on the east bank of the IJzer mouth, with the old harbour and the Novus Portus inner basin. It is accessible at any state of tide and in nearly all weather and is a classic stopover between the Netherlands, France and England. Call the harbour office on VHF 8 or by phone; wait at the head of pontoon B until a berth is assigned. There is a 24/7 fuel pontoon (diesel and petrol) with pump-out for grey and black water, toilets/showers with washing machines, a 50 t crane and a 10 t slipway crane, hard standing for 600 boats, a nautical centre with chandler and sailmaker, a restaurant and the Vlaamse Vaarschool sailing school.
