For visiting boats

The Clube Naval de Sesimbra marina lies inside Sesimbra's harbour of refuge, halfway between the Setúbal bar and Cabo Espichel, in a sandy-bottomed cove sheltered by the cliffs of the Serra da Arrábida. Work began in December 1997 and the marina has 130 berths for boats of 6 to 15 m (6 of 15 m, 14 of 12 m, 33 of 11 m, 7 of 10 m, 56 of 8 m and 14 of 6 m), half for resident members and the rest for other members and visiting boats. Landmarks: the Cabo Espichel and Forte do Cavalo lights, the castle and the Fortaleza de Santiago; even in fog a boat with radar gets in easily. Call on channel 16, working channels 9 and 12.
