For visiting boats
Vlieland marina lies on the edge of the woods and the beach, fifteen minutes’ walk from Oost-Vlieland, with room for about 300 visiting boats plus a working harbour for commercial craft. No bookings. The approach needs care: the stream off the entrance can be strong, with an eddy right at the harbour mouth; come in at an angle, keep the entrance ‘open’ and favour the right-hand half. From Harlingen (about 20 miles) it is best to arrive around low water, so leave about two hours after HW Harlingen. Power is included in the fee (per m²); water and showers work with tokens. There is a black-water and bilge pump-out on pontoon B, a launderette, harbour shop, snack bar and restaurant; fuel is 100 m outside the harbour. Note: from 1 October 2026 to 1 April 2027 the harbour is closed while the sheet piling is replaced.
