For visiting boats
The Noorderhaven is the heart of De Leeuwenbrug marina: a canal lined with listed buildings in the middle of historic Harlingen, right by the Wadden Sea. Together with the Zuiderhaven there are about 100 visitor berths. It is a tidal harbour with flood gates that close at NAP +1.10 m, usually from an hour before to an hour after high water, when you cannot get in or out. The Noorderhaven takes up to about 2.20 m draught. Berths have shore power and drinking water, with a toilet block nearby and the harbour office at Noorderhaven 34. An ideal base for the Wadden islands or, via the Van Harinxma canal, the Frisian lakes.
