For visiting boats
Les Minimes in La Rochelle is one of the largest marinas on France's Atlantic coast: 5,157 berths afloat, 400 of them for visitors, spread over four basins (Bout Blanc, Marillac, Lazaret and Tamaris) and 64 pontoons. You come in by the buoyed channel at the Richelieu tower, dredged to −0.8 m, so keep an eye on the tide. The harbour office watches VHF 9 day and night; a 24/7 fuel berth, three 50-tonne travel lifts, a 30-tonne crane and the marine businesses on site make it a major technical stopover. Public-transport tickets into town are sold at the harbour office.
