For visiting boats
Sirpalesaari is the home harbour of the Finnish Yacht Club on the western edge of Helsinki’s Merisatama and also takes visiting boats. It is easiest to approach from the west through the 1.8 m channel between the island and the mainland. Guest berths are not marked: tie up first on the restaurant spaces left of the ferry pier and ask for a berth at the ferry. The fee includes water and electricity on the pontoons, toilets and showers; the island has the Restaurant Saari and a ferry to the mainland about every 20 minutes.
