For visiting boats

Schilksee Olympic Harbour was built for the sailing events of the 1972 Olympic Games and lies about 10 km north of Kiel city centre at the mouth of the Kiel Fjord. With some 850 berths in two basins – floating pontoons in the north basin, fixed jetties in the south – it is the hub of Kiel Week every year and of many world and European championships. The entrances face south and are easy to make by day and night; 3–4 m depth, boats up to 25 m. Ashore there is a 10 t crane, mast crane, slipway, sailmaker, chandlery, restaurants and a grocery; diesel and petrol are bunkered next door in Strande.

Guest berths
Guest berths are allocated only by the harbour master on site. During Kiel Week berths go to competitors only. The pump-out can only be used between the launching and hauling periods at the central forecourt. Electricity, water and waste are included in the berth fee.
