For visiting boats
Jachthaven Linkeroever lies on the left bank of the Scheldt, right opposite Antwerp’s historic centre, and is one of Belgium’s oldest water sports sites. It is reached through a tidal gate lock, normally open from an hour before to an hour after high water; at very high levels the flood gates close briefly and there is a waiting buoy. Call on VHF 9 and request the opening in good time. Boats up to 25 m, 3 m draught and 9 m beam; power and water on every pontoon, toilets and showers by the old lock house, a launderette, wifi, a boat lift, slipways and storage ashore and in the RYCB sheds. The Royal Yacht Club de Belgique and the Koninklijke Liberty Yacht Club have their clubhouses here.
