Overview

The Bodrum Offshore Sailing Club (BAYK) was founded on 5 July 2001 with the support of Milta Bodrum Marina, where its office still is. It sailed its first race in 2001 with nine boats and went on to run international courses such as Bodrum–Kos–Bodrum. In winter it runs the BAYK Winter Trophy for ORC boats (January–May) and on 19 May a 119-mile offshore race, all under the Turkish Sailing Federation's yacht racing rules. In 2023 it hosted the Dragon World Championship.
