Overview

The Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano was founded in Trieste in 1968 and is the club behind the Barcolana, the Coppa d'Autunno sailed every October by a huge fleet of boats of every size in the Gulf of Trieste. Its clubhouse is on the Viale Miramare at Barcola, with a dinghy slipway on the forecourt and members' berths in the small harbours of Barcola and Grignano. Through the year the club runs offshore and dinghy races, a summer sailing school for young sailors and racing courses for adults.
