Overview
The Società Canottieri Caprera was founded in Turin in 1883 and has its boathouse on the Po on Corso Moncalieri, at the foot of the hill and close to the centre. It was among the founders of the Italian Rowing Federation and received the CONI Gold Medal for sporting merit in 1993. Rowing is the main sport, with courses from September to June for ages 9 to adults and a pararowing programme for people with disabilities; in summer there is also canoeing and SUP. The club has tennis courts, a pool, a gym and a restaurant with a terrace over the river.
