Overview
The Sailing Club of Thessaloniki was founded in 1933 and since 1937 has been based on the Thessaloniki waterfront, behind the 1953 breakwater where dozens of sailing boats lie at anchor. Besides dinghy racing (groups from age seven) it has rowing, canoe-kayak and fin-swimming sections, with about 270 members and more than 200 athletes. Since 1946 it has run the annual "Unknown Sailor" regatta, drawing clubs from all over Greece.
