Overview

The Société des Régates du Havre traces its origins to 1838, when the group that organised English-style regattas off Le Havre from 1839 was formed; it received legal statutes in 1863 and helped organise the Olympic sailing events of 1900 and 1924. Based in the marina on Boulevard Clemenceau and Quai Éric-Tabarly, it sails from age 4 to adult: sea garden, Optimist, multi-boat courses, RS Feva double-handers, windsurfing, wing foiling, J/80 keelboat lessons and women's sailing. Its calendar runs all year, from the four-seasons championship to big events such as the Normandie Cup, the Coupe Île-de-France à la mer and Les Grandes Voiles du Havre.
