Overview
Tallinn Yacht Club was founded in 1910 and is one of Estonia's oldest yacht clubs; today it is based at Haven Kakumäe marina, with flag harbours at Lohusalu, Tallinn Old City Harbour and Grand Holm Marina in Haapsalu. Its sailing school, started in 2006, is the largest in Estonia – about 150 young sailors from Optimist to 49er, with branches at Kakumäe, Pirita and Lohusalu. The club runs, among others, the TJK Cup at Lohusalu, the Tallinn Race and cruising-in-company squadron cruises, plus small-craft skipper and SRC radio courses.
