Overview
Skovshoved Sejlklub was founded on 25 August 1922 and has its clubhouse on Skovshoved Havn north of Copenhagen, sharing the harbour with KDY's Skovshoved base. The club runs a large adult sailing school with a fleet of ten keelboats at the Sejlerhuset, and a youth section that moved into a new dinghy house by the launching ramp in 2023, sailing Optimist, RS Feva, 29er, Hobie Cat and J/70. The Øresund's largest Hobie Cat fleet (fleet 815) is based here, and the club has two J/70s for racing. Members can also sail the seven-metre Runa from 1910, one of Denmark's oldest sailing yachts still in use, built in Skovshoved.
