Overview
Kolding Sejlklub was founded in 1881 and has its clubhouse in Kolding Lystbådehavn Nord at the head of Kolding Fjord – a well-sheltered fjord with a short run out to the Little Belt. The club has more than 600 members and lays out pontoons and mooring buoys for cruising sailors in the fjord and the Little Belt. The club evening series runs in two series, spring and late summer, together with the neighbouring club, and there is a race in company to Skærbæk. The sailing school sails two Nordic Folkboats, two J/80s and a Larsen 28 and runs both a learn-to-sail course leading to the Danish Duelighedsbevis and a racing course, with navigation taught in winter. The youth section sails Optimist and Zoom8, holds taster evenings for children from 7 and a summer sailing school in July and August.
