Overview
The Società Canottieri Ceresio was founded on 17 January 1927 at the Antico Ristorante in Gandria and since 1948 has been based near the San Domenico lido on the Sentiero di Gandria in Lugano-Castagnola, its clubhouse extended in 1980 and 1991–92. Racing is the core activity, at home and abroad – in 1930 a club crew won the first ever Swiss title for Ticino. From March to October it runs learn-to-row courses (six lessons in small groups), a summer camp, the youth regatta and the traditional autumn club regatta.
