Overview
Åländska Segelsällskapet (Åland Yacht Club, ÅSS) was founded in 1897 and is based in the Segelpaviljongen clubhouse on the West Harbour of Mariehamn. The club runs two guest harbours – ÅSS Marina in Västerhamn and the natural harbour of Rödhamn in the Lemland archipelago. Racing is at its core: ÅSS Sailing Center races six club-owned J/70s, and juniors start in Optimists before moving on to ILCA and RS Feva. ÅSS organises the Mariehamn Regatta among other events and won the Finnish Sailing League in 2026.
