Overview
The Wiener Ruderclub Pirat was founded in 1875 and rows from two bases: the boathouse on the Alte Donau in Kaisermühlen (since its 1939 merger with the Triton rowing club) and the river boathouse on the Danube at Langenzersdorf, where it built its first boathouse in 1876. Besides competitive and youth rowing it offers adult beginner courses from spring, Danube touring, university rowing and a dragon-boat section with an inclusion team and the Vienna Pink Dragons.
