Overview
The Union Yacht Club Mondsee was founded on 20 May 1908 – the imperial authorities approved it on 26 May – and has its grounds on the east shore of the Mondsee. After a first clubhouse in 1923 and a second in 1957, the third opened in time for the 2005 Yngling World Championship. A member of the Austrian sailing federation and the ASVOÖ sports union, the club runs regattas such as the Blaues Band (50 boats in 2026), the Sunbeam Cup and youth championships, hosted the 2026 final of the Austrian Sailing League, supports young and racing sailors, and has a lakeside café and a crane for members.
