For visiting boats
The Houston Yacht Club harbor in Shoreacres opens directly onto Galveston Bay, so boats are out on open water within minutes. It has 76 floating and 113 fixed slips for 35–60 ft boats, 28 covered slips with slings to 9,000 lb, 27 covered sheds for yachts to 70 ft, extra-wide multihull slips and a 400 ft guest dock, all with power and water. Ashore there are a fuel dock (diesel and gasoline), pump-out, bathhouses, free laundry, two 2-ton hoists, two launch ramps and dry storage for about 130 mast-up boats. The harbor office answers on VHF 72.
