Overview
Lakewood Yacht Club, founded in 1955, spreads over 38 acres on the shore of Clear Lake in Seabrook, between Houston and Galveston Bay. Its marina has 450 slips for boats from 40 to 130 ft, covered sheds and deep-water piers with power, water and Wi-Fi, a launch ramp, trailer storage and a small-boat basin with a 2-ton crane, plus a fuel dock and pump-out. The club keeps a fleet of 12 matched RS21 keelboats — the first club-owned RS21 fleet in the country — and is a USFOIL hub. Its racing calendar runs from the Bay Cup series and the Harvest Moon Regatta to the J/Fest Southwest regatta and RS21 North Americans, and the Seahorse youth program races on the Texas Sailing Association circuit and beyond.
