For visiting boats
Ataköy Marina is on the European shore of Istanbul at Bakırköy on the Sea of Marmara, and in 1989 became the first marina in Turkey to receive The Yacht Harbour Association's Five Gold Anchors, which it still holds. Its megayacht harbour takes 232 yachts of 25–100 m at once; pontoons have finger berths for 8–15 m boats and the quays stern-to moorings for 16–30 m. A 63 t travel lift, a 10 t mobile crane and an experienced repair team make it a good place to winter in Istanbul. The fuel dock sells diesel and petrol 24/7; the control tower works VHF 73.
- Guest berths
- The control tower keeps VHF 73 watch 24/7; mooring and towing service round the clock. 8–15 m boats go on pontoon finger berths, 16–30 m boats stern-to on the quay with laid lines. Power and water are topped up at a card/cash machine; ask the front office for rates.
