Karlstad guest harbour lies in the Inner Harbour on Lake Vänern, five minutes' walk from the city centre. It has 25 guest berths with fixed mooring lines – no anchoring – and 3 m depth, and boats can stay up to eight hours at the visitor pontoon. There are toilets, showers, a washing-up room, laundry, recycling, toilet-tank emptying, free wifi and loan bikes, and the harbour office doubles as a tourist info point. The harbour is open all year and staffed in high season.
