Bovallstrand guest harbour lies in the outer part of the Bottnefjord, a sheltered spot inside the Sotenäs coast. There are about 70 berths where boats lie to their anchor or to fixed moorings (buoys and lines) in 2–4 m of water, and the service building has showers, toilets and a laundry.
