The guest harbour at Berg lies in the basin above the Carl Johan locks, the Göta Canal's most famous flight, where boats rise or drop 18 metres to reach Lake Roxen. It has 40 guest berths on Y-booms and buoys, 52 power points, toilets, a laundry, a toilet-waste sink and septic pump-out. The locks draw thousands of spectators every summer, and around the harbour there are restaurants, cafés, a hostel, adventure golf and bike hire.

With a canal ticket, 5 nights in each guest harbour on the stretch you paid for are included, with power, water, showers, toilets, laundry and septic pump-out; extra nights are bought from the lock keeper. No booking – drop in, first come first served. A service card from the lock keeper gives access to the guest-harbour facilities.
