For visiting boats

Sines Marina is the only stop between Tróia and the Algarve on the Alentejo coast, with deep water and an entrance usable in any weather, next to the beach and the lower town. The entrance lies 1.5 miles south of Cabo de Sines, protected by a 1,700 m N–S breakwater whose submerged southern end is marked by a red buoy; the main landmarks are the cape and four tall chimneys. Prevailing winds are N and NW, with stronger S and SW in winter, and fog forms at night and in the morning between July and October. It has 182 berths for boats up to 25 m, an anchorage in the inner basin (check in at reception), a dry dock area, slipway, 5 t crane and 45 t travel lift; VHF 9.
