For visiting boats

Westhaven Marina, just west of Auckland's city centre under the Harbour Bridge, is the largest recreational marina in the Southern Hemisphere, with about 1,800 boats on wet berths and pile moorings, four yacht clubs including the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, and a big marine village. Dockmasters are on duty around the clock on VHF 13. Visitors can book short stays of up to 14 days at published daily rates (2026–27: from NZ$50 for a monohull up to 12 m), and Z Pier is a place of first arrival where yachts up to 20 m can clear customs and biosecurity. Ashore and alongside are a high-volume fuel dock, pump-outs on Piers U, X, Y and Z, showers and laundries round the marina, a four-lane public ramp, travel lifts, two boatyards and two slipways.
