For visiting boats
Haugesund's guest harbour lies at Indre kai on Smedasundet, the sound that runs through the town centre and forms part of the inner coastal route, run by Karmsund Havn. The harbour is ice-free, snug and well sheltered, but the current in the sound is noticeable – it turns at half tide, setting south at high water and north at low water. The guest harbour has water, toilets, showers and a washing machine, with power charged extra. Stays of up to two hours are free, and harbour dues are paid in GoMarina.
