For visiting boats
Ameland marina lies in the middle of the island at Nes, at the old ferry pier: a small tidal harbour with an old-fashioned feel and room for 50 island boats and 80 visitors. The tidal range averages 2.5 m; at normal tides a draught of 1.50 m gets in, and if in doubt call the harbour master. No bookings; the harbour master assigns a berth. Power, water and wifi are included in the fee (per m²); showers take tokens. There is no fuel in the harbour, but a filling station is just over the dyke, and bilge water can be handed in. Next to the harbour office are a café-restaurant and bike hire; the tourist office and a supermarket are behind the dyke.
