Marina Makkum lies on the Frisian IJsselmeer coast, less than a quarter of an hour from the Kornwerderzand locks to the Wadden Sea, so whatever the wind you can choose between the Wadden and the IJsselmeer. Opened in 1991 and open all year, it has 600 roomy boxes with finger pontoon, their own power and water connection and lines. Harbour masters are available 24/7; in and around the marina there is yacht service, winter storage, sailmaking, rigging and a chandlery. Makkum beach is within walking distance. Sister marina of Marina Volendam.
