Klaipėda Yacht Club marina is at Smiltynė on the western shore of the Curonian Lagoon, about 2 nm from the Klaipėda harbour entrance – a handy stop along the eastern Baltic coast. It has 65 berths for boats of 3–15 m, 2.5–3.5 m in the basins and 3.8 m in the entrance, and is open all year. Every berth has water and power; there is pump-out, a crane and hoist, showers, toilets, a laundry, winter storage ashore or afloat, 24-hour CCTV, a 3-star hotel and a restaurant. The club traces its sailing tradition back to 1936.
