For visiting boats

Port Solent is a locked marina at the head of Portchester Lake in the upper reaches of Portsmouth Harbour, with in-water berths for boats up to 24 m behind a lock that works around the clock. It sits in a waterside village with The Boardwalk's bars and restaurants, a cinema, a health club and the Marine Super Store chandlery, and the marina has two 24-hour shower blocks, a laundry, a fuel and pump-out pontoon by the lock and a full-service boatyard with a 40-tonne travel lift. The approach is a well-marked piled channel north from the harbour entrance; call on VHF 80 at pile 78 for the lock.
