For visiting boats
Port-la-Forêt, at the head of La Forêt bay facing the Glénan islands, is one of Brittany's largest marinas and the cradle of French single-handed offshore racing: 1,130 pontoon berths, about a dozen of them for IMOCAs, 20 resident moorings and 70 visitor berths. The basin is sheltered from the prevailing winds, deep and accessible 24 hours. There are 25 t and 75 t travel lifts, a 30 m crane, three hard standings and a pit for deep-draught boats, with some thirty marine businesses on site. Opened in 1972, it is run by the SAEM SODEFI; the harbour office listens on VHF 9.
