For visiting boats
Ulko-Tammio is the main island of the Eastern Gulf of Finland National Park and its most popular outer-archipelago destination, just over 16 nautical miles SSE of Hamina guest harbour; it is the only island in the park with jetties. Länsilahti on the north-west side has 1–3 m of water and a locally marked channel, while on the east side you can tie up at the Itäsatama jetty or anchor in Saunalahti or off Kauniskallio. Ashore there are fire and barbecue shelters, a camping area, an open wilderness hut and a well whose water must be boiled.
