Svendborg Gæstehavn is the town harbour of Svendborg, where visiting yachts berth right inside the harbour among island ferries, commercial traffic, old wooden ships and the Ring-Andersen wooden-boat yard – a few minutes' walk from the town streets. The harbour is owned by Svendborg Kommune and has about 400 guest berths; in high season harbour staff help direct boats in. The harbour fee is all-inclusive with shore power (max 16 A), water, toilets and showers, laundry, a galley kitchen and holding-tank pump-out, and berths can be booked in advance. The current in Svendborgsund can reach 6 knots in a gale, so watch wind and stream when coming in.
