Præstø Havn lies at the head of Præstø Fjord off Fakse Bugt, and the approach through the fjord is one of the loveliest in Zealand: after Nordmandshage steer for Roneklint, leave Maderne to port and Feddet to starboard and follow the closely spaced lateral marks past Storeholm and Lilleholm. The harbour is owned and run by Vordingborg municipality and can be entered by day only; there is 2.9 m in the channel and the harbour, 2.5–1.5 m at the pontoons. Strong westerlies can leave very low water in the fjord, but boats drawing up to 2 m can still get in. Red and green signs show which berths are free, and in the old harbour, with 3.3 m of water, you lie bows-to the quay from red mooring buoys. Harbour dues include power, water, Wi-Fi and showers; there is diesel by arrangement with the harbour master, a mast crane, laundry, and listed warehouses and restaurants on Havnepladsen.
