For visiting boats
Helsingør Nordhavn is one of Denmark's largest marinas, with about 840 berths and Kronborg Castle next door, at the narrowest point of the Øresund and under ten minutes' walk from Helsingør's old town. The harbour is owned by Helsingør Kommune; there is no booking – come in and take a berth with a green sign, where the white plate below shows how long it is free, while larger boats find alongside berths at the pontoon ends. There is power and water on the pontoons, showers and toilets, diesel and petrol, a slipway for about 40 tonnes, a mast crane and an environmental station with holding-tank and bilge-oil pump-out. The harbour takes boats up to about 25 m and 6 m beam.
