For visiting boats
Ballen Havn on the east coast of Samsø is owned by Samsø Kommune and is the island's largest marina, with up to 10,000 visiting boats a year; it got its first regular ferry service as early as 1682. It consists of an outer harbour for deeper-draught vessels and the old harbour with two basins. There is power and water on every pontoon, petrol and diesel, a slipway and a mast crane, a new laundry, a sauna and a bathing jetty, and the harbour is a popular stop for sailing clubs and larger regattas.
