For visiting boats
Stickenhörn sport harbour lies at Kiel-Friedrichsort at the mouth of the Kiel Canal, which makes it a popular stop before or after the canal transit. Nearly 500 berths, mostly on floating pontoons, in a basin sheltered from every direction and entered from the south; 3 to 7 m depth, boats up to 20 m. There is a mast crane, a dinghy slipway, showers, coin laundry and wifi, with two boatyards with slipways just to the north. From the east cardinal buoy 'Stickenhörn Ost' head straight for the entrance; keep clear of big-ship traffic.
