For visiting boats

Hamilton Island Marina is the main cruising base in the heart of the Whitsundays, inside Dent Passage on the island's west side, next to the Hamilton Island Yacht Club. It has 301 wet berths with superyacht berthing up to 45 m plus 120 dry berths; berths must be booked 24 hours ahead and boats call the office on VHF 68 on approach, where the on-water concierge meets them. The fuel wharf on the south side sells diesel and unleaded 24/7 for boats up to 30 m (call for clearance first), and the boatyard's travel lift takes up to 62 tonnes and 75 ft. Showers, toilets and laundries are open around the clock, with a chandlery, supermarket and the resort's restaurants a short walk away. Note that tall-masted boats must keep clear of the airport flight path in Dent Passage, and the marina is reserved for Race Week entrants each August.
