Overview
Hamilton Island Yacht Club is the waterfront clubhouse on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, looking out over Dent Passage beside the island's marina. The building, with a roof shaped like a set of full sails, opened in 2009 during Hamilton Island Race Week and also holds luxury villas. The club is the shore base of Race Week, the August regatta first held in 1983 that the island describes as Australia's largest offshore yachting regatta, with grand prix, cruising, bareboat and non-spinnaker divisions racing among the Whitsunday islands.
