Overview
Riverside Boat Club, founded in 1869, is a non-profit, member-run rowing club on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, on the Charles River at Magazine Beach. It has more than 400 rowers, from recreational scullers to national-team athletes, and a long racing record: a first team-boat national title in 1894 and the right to represent the USA in the coxed four at the 1936 Olympics. The club rents boats to out-of-town crews for the Head of the Charles and lets visiting crews launch from its docks by agreement, a few schools per race day.
