Overview
Ljubljana Kayak Canoe Club, founded on 20 October 1931, is the oldest kayak club in Slovenia; its boathouse stands on the Ljubljanica at Livada. It covers more paddling disciplines than any other club: whitewater slalom and downriver, flat-water sprint, marathon and kayak cross, and children also try sea kayaks and dragon boats. It runs the Ljubljana Kayak Marathon and courses for children and adults; club paddlers are multiple world champions in downriver and slalom.
