Overview
Burja Sailing Club in Izola was founded in 1954 and at first worked under the People's Technical Society. It has a race office, a gym, changing rooms with showers and a fenced dinghy park by the sea. Burja runs Slovenian national championships in the ILCA classes, the St Martin's regatta for ILCA and Optimist and the Burja Cup, plus a summer sailing school; its sailors race at ILCA European and world championships.
