Overview
Westervik Sailing Club was founded in 1885 and has its home harbour with pontoons, winter storage and a clubhouse at Solbergsudde in the archipelago south-east of central Västervik. Its outport Skansholmen at the entrance to Västervik has a clubhouse from 1916 and a sauna. With the sister club WSS Wikingarna it runs the Stora Wiking Race offshore race with a night start off Skansholmen, the club evening series and club championships, and the youth section runs a sailing school and camps. Visiting boats use members' empty berths.
