Overview

Jönköpings Kanotklubb was founded on 9 January 1936 and first kept its boats in the old laundry house at Talavid; its canoe house from 1944 was fully renovated in 1986–1988. The club offers canoe sport for all ages, from taster paddles to elite racing, and has produced several national-team paddlers. In 1953 it hosted the Nordic Championships on Lake Munksjön.
