Overview
Helsingborg Yacht Club is the boat club in the centre of Helsingborg, with its clubhouse on the west quay of Norra Hamnen looking across the Sound to Helsingør. Its roots go back to Hälsingborgs Segelsällskap of 1911; after a merger with Råå Båtklubb in 1970 and a later split, HYC was formed in 1992. Since 2011 the club has leased Norra Hamnen from the city, and the marina is run by the club company Norra Hamnen Marina AB. Members need not own a boat.
