Overview
Halmstad Sailing Club has sailed in Halmstad since 1910 and has its clubhouse and harbour almost at the mouth of the river Nissan, next to Västra stranden beach and Söderpiren, a little over a kilometre from the town centre. The club runs the Tisdagscupen evening series, the Tylön Runt distance race and the Lappens Cup, sailed for more than 35 years, and has dinghy sailing, cruising squadrons and a sailing school in Optimist and C55. Radio-controlled sailing in the IOM class has an active group too.
