Overview
GKSS was founded in Gothenburg in 1860 and has its home harbour and clubhouse at Långedrag on the southern entrance of the Göta älv. On Marstrand the club runs the Korvetten clubhouse, the race office for events such as the GKSS Match Cup Sweden, and since 1968 it has owned Æolusön in the southern archipelago, where children and juniors go to sailing camp. Racing runs from dinghies and foiling Waszp and Moth to Fareast 28R, J/70 and Dragons, and the club has its own match-racing programme. The sailing school takes children, juniors and adults, and the AccessAbility Center gets sailors with disabilities on the water.
